I first contacted Carl based on other Zillow reviews, and I'm very glad I found him. He was a pleasure to work with; very patient with me as I my expectations and budget evolved over the course of searching for a home. Rather than telling me right off that my expectations would need to change, he let me discover this on my own, which I appreciated. Had he told me that I would have to change my search I probably would have been offended. Regardless of how many places I wanted to see, he always made it happen and remained upbeat, even as I got frustrated or impatient. His knowledge of the Northern Kentucky area is extensive (mine is not) and he always provided valuable information about neighborhoods and markets. Added bonus: he knows a lot about construction and gave great insight into build quality, maintenance (or lack of it), costs, etc. He always gave his frank opinions if I asked but would also allow me to form my own opinions and only tried to sway me if he wanted to keep me from making a mistake. My wife and I started our journey looking for a home back in the summer of 2021. I had recently accepted a job in Cincinnati and I and my wife needed to move closer to the city. We had met Rachel once before when we were simply looking to move out of Louisville KY area. We contacted Rachel who remembered us from the showing she provided months before and was excited to take us on as a client.

During the following months we could not have asked for a more patient or understanding person to assist us in finding a home. Rachel was always available to answer questions and kept in close contact with us throughout the process. Our commute to look at homes was about 90 minutes during which Rachel would reach out to us to provide us updates as to what was still available to view and what, unfortunately, had been sold before we could see it.

Derek was incredible the entire time of our moving process. We moved from out of state and he made every second of it less stressful. Derek was always available to answer texts or chat. It was like we were really there experiencing the first look along with him. We had no problems making an offer at that point, and Derek made sure that everything we needed was included in that offer. The whole contract time was effortless on our part, he made sure all of our needs and wants were met. For the final walk through we were unable to make it down and Derek walked through it for us. I trust him completely and know he inspected it as if it was going to be his home. I can not thank him enough for such an incredible experience and giving us an impressive impression of Kentucky. Because of Derek we found our dream home!

I was a difficult to deal with first time buyer. My wife and I had a long list of must haves, not the best budget to make them happen, and fairly opposite tastes in houses. He’s a great guy, seems honest and genuine, and I seems like he cares more about his client than the payout in the end which is a quality hard to find today. My fiance and I had been looking for a house for about 6 months before we met Carl. Carl and I got off to a rocky start, we didn't discuss expectations as well as we could have but once we got that ironed out, he was an excellent Realtor! Then it was negotiation time - Carl is REALLY good at getting a seller to either come down in price or pay part of the closing costs. Without him I would have paid thousands more for my home than I did!<br/><br/>I think Carl is not only a great Realtor, but also a good person. He handheld me through processes I wasn't familiar with and shared a "new home happy dance" with me at closing. Carl was superb all round in helping us throughout the purchasing process. He has an extraordinary knowledge about housing; he appears to have an engineering or construction background. He also has a very pleasant personality--e.g. good communication and interpersonal skills. The only little more help we wished we had received from him was the negotiating process. I think his respect for personal freedom and choice led him to be a bit passive in guiding us about the best offer price. Nonetheless, he was very good at negotiating with the seller with whatever offer we decided. He is a great agent to work with, and we have already recommended him to many of our friends.

Carl stuck with us and helped us every bit of the way for nearly the six months it took before we finally found the house we are moving into now.

He knows the area and even went out of his way to show us properties that were outside his own "area."

Each property we went to he spotted not only potential problems but potential solutions for improvements or alterations that would fit out needs and desires in a new home.

We ran into difficult sellers but Carl tirelessly and doggedly worked with each seller and realtor until we were finally able to meet in the middle.

We came to Kentucky from Illinois and did not know the area nor the building codes or requirements for this state and Carl explained everything to us and never hesitated to look up something we requested, give us copies in print, and was always ready with the answers to our questions. If he didn't have an answer immediately, which was rare, he very quickly sought it out for us. Sometimes we felt as tho we were more trouble to him than we would ultimately be worth - but all turned out well and he is the reason we are so happy with the home we finally found.

We will definitely recommend Carl to anyone who needs an excellent realtor who is the one to work for you and you alone. We have worked with some excellent realtors in the past but Carl is easily their equal, and in most cases, better. We hope that if we ever need a realtor again that Carl will take us on!
